Be cognitively flexible. Go with the flow. Ups and downs are natural to daily life. When something does not go your way, you have a choice to be cognitively rigid (e.g., ruminate and complain after the event has passed) or cognitively flexible (e.g., adjust your perspective, change course, and move on). Days are filled with different experiences rather than things that went well and things that didn't go well. It's all about riding the waves of daily life. In this way, each day has some adventure to it. Think of your mind as a rubberband: it's meant to be stretched.
